I'd like to post this topic as a proposal to anyone who reads and supports the drawings I do.
The comic is verging on the age of 6 years, and I've just capped the 200 comic mark. I feel like that isn't enough. I feel like I've seriously slacked for the comic being such a huge part of my life, and that I've neglected it severely in place of growing up and being responsible/socially active.
I'd like to propose an idea for the effort to be made to create a printed book of the existing (plus some extra) comics to be sold to anyone who wants one.
This kind of huge project would mean I'd be redrawing every comic I've made so far (minus the weird my little pony comics), organizing and paginating a book form of these comics, adding bonus sections that would include sketches, drafts, originals, etc, and printing it out of pocket.
Aside from a hefty sum of financial support, there would need to be an equal (or minimal) demand for such an entity. In saying this, I'd like to ask for help.
What I'd need from you guys:
- Verbal recognition that a book of BGJ comics redrawn +more would be wanted
- Support in the means of donations, ads being clicked, etc. over an extended period of time
- patience and understanding while I redraw everything while trying to maintain regular updates
I'd estimate that if this idea is received well, I'd be able to get a serious head start within a year. I'd start advertising more and generating Google ad revenue to fund the project, and hopefully sell more merchandise too.
So, what do you guys think?
